Terms of use

The terms that apply when you use Akinn. Last updated May 2026.

What Akinn is

Akinn is an independent UK care home comparison platform. We provide information about care homes, a Best Match ranking system, a Quality Score composite, a funding eligibility tool, and (when live) a qualified-enquiry workflow. We are not a placement agency, financial advisor, or care broker.

What we don't promise

We aim for accuracy in everything we publish, but we cannot guarantee that every detail on every listing is current, complete, or error-free. CQC ratings, fees, availability, and other details are subject to change. Before relying on any information here, confirm it directly with the care provider.

The Quality Score is a composite signal, not a recommendation. The funding eligibility tool is decision support, not regulated financial advice. You should seek professional advice for significant decisions.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Care providers

Care providers who subscribe to Akinn are bound by separate Provider Terms, available on request.

Limitation of liability

Akinn is provided on an "as is" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for losses arising from your use of the platform, except where excluded by statute (for example, our liability for fraud or personal injury caused by negligence is not limited).

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms occasionally. Material changes will be announced on this page with the date the change took effect.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
