Cookies and browser storage
Akinn uses very little — and what we do use stays on your device.
What we use
Two things: one cookie, set only if you sign in, and some data kept in your browser so the site remembers what you were doing.
The one cookie we set
cc-session — set only when a provider or a member of the Akinn team signs in, to keep you signed in for up to seven days. It is strictly necessary for the account area to work, so it doesn't require consent. Browsing as a family sets no cookies at all.
Data kept in your browser
These use localStorage, not cookies. They stay on your device, aren't sent to us, and aren't shared with anyone:

What does reach us
Anything you type into a form and submit — an enquiry about a home, an urgent placement request, or a provider early-access request — is sent to the Akinn team. That is the point of submitting it. Everything in the list above is not. What happens to submitted details is set out in our privacy policy.
What we don't use
No advertising cookies, no tracking pixels, no cross-site tracking, and no sharing with advertising networks. We currently run no analytics of any kind — not even privacy-respecting analytics. If that changes, this page will say so before it happens.
Clearing your data
Clear your saved data at any time using your browser's settings (typically under "Privacy" or "Storage"). On most browsers, "Clear site data" removes everything Akinn has stored, including the sign-in cookie.
