The service is not performing as well as it should and we have told the service how it must improve.

People spoke highly about living at the home. One person said, “It’s very homely, all staff are very, very kind and helpful.” Another person told us the best things about living at the home were, "The heat, the warmth, food, cleanliness, and there is entertainment, things to do, games and so forth.” People told us they received the care and support they needed. One person said, “They are able to meet my needs here." Another told us, “We get the best of care here.” People told us they were supported to make their own decision and choices throughout the day. There was always a range of activities going on which people could choose to take part in. Some people said they preferred not to take part. One person said, "I like life, you can sit here some days, but someone will always come round and talk to you. I am well looked after, they (staff) are really nice people.” While people expressed general satisfaction with their care our assessment found elements of care did not meet the expected standards.
